What are Aluclad Windows + Doors
The term “Alu Clad” is used in the industry to describe Aluminium Clad Timber windows and doors.
With long, harsh winters it is hardly surprising that Scandinavian window manufacturers are continually looking for ways to technically improve and develop their window and door systems.
This is how a number of years ago some of the leading scandinavian manufacturers developed a new window & door system, whereby an aluminium profile was fitted to the external face of a timber only window or door.
This development proved to be an absolute winner with architects and specifiers alike, as it provided the only true maintenance free external finish, with the Synthapulvin Powder Coated Aluminium outside, coupled with the beauty and warmth of timber inside.
By definition, this also allows for two different RAL colours to be selected. One colour on the Aluminium outside and with another on the Timber inside, giving great flexibility in terms of choice of finish.
